Adding JEdSTEM's Engineering Values curriculum to our teen electives has greatly enhanced our program. Engineering Values has brought teens who previously did not participate in our programs and given them a way to engage. Jacob and JEdSTEM has enabled us to fill a gap in our programming and increase our participation. - Julia Zinn, Assistant Director of 8th-12th Grade and Special Programming, Temple Beth Shalom Needham, MA |
Jacob Paikoff is a creative, professional, relational and reflective educator with exceptional organization, communication and people skills. From the first time we met through his current work with elementary, middle and high school learners, he has impressed me with his ideas, preparation, thoughtfulness, and positive attitude. He is responsive, respectful, patient, and flexible. When the schedule or set-up changes, as it often does in congregational settings, he happily adapts and pivots. He is a true, collaborative team player who cares about students’ learning in a deep way, asking for their feedback as a part of his process. Jacob encourages learners to question, expand their thinking, collaborate, and solve problems. His classroom is a space for play, curiosity, and experimenting with ideas and interactions. Jacob and the JEdSTEM curriculum he brings to our students have added engaging content to our program and a teacher from whom the students can learn not only relevant life lessons and Jewish values, but also, that there is another adult in their lives who values them and their ideas. If your learners are fortunate enough to learn with Jacob and JEdSTEM, they will surely grow and thrive in his care. -Alison Weikel, Director of Education, Temple Shir Tikva Wayland, MA |
